Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in 1980. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), Nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her birthplace was in Michigan's Huntington Woods with the family of a Polish mother and a father who was German, English Irish, Scottish and Irish. Kristen was already a skilled entertainer at an early stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother before the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. As well as learning in private classes and acting lessons, she started her career at that time. Bell played an uncredited character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the part of Dorothy. Bell went on to study musical theatre at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell graduated from the school in 2001, when she took the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in has been cut out and the credits only depict her. In 2002, Bell made an appearance in the Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
