Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her roles as the main character in TV shows like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Her work is also well-known due to her film roles in 'Private Parts', 'Deep impact', 'True Criminal as well as '1408'. McCormack has a father who is a therapist, and owner of an ice cream store. She comes from a family that is not entertainment-based. She was a student at Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the divorce of her parents in the year 1990 she enrolled at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, eventually graduating with a BA degree in the field of comparative arts. Her career began at 12 years old when she appeared in the stage production "Amahl & The Night Visitors' a Christmas operetta. The actress continued her performances at the theater as well as landing roles in films both small as well as the big screen. McCormack, today recognized as one of Hollywood's best performers. Michael Morris (producer/director) is the husband of McCormack. McCormack and Morris have three daughters.
