Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to develop an interest in acting. In his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. His characters in television have earned him plenty of attention. His ability to portray characters in both legal and non-legal settings has captured the attention of viewers. He played the part of a serial killer in his debut television show but later went on to take on the role of an NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he has received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is known for his blue-piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. In 2006, he appeared on People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
