Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best famous for his role on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. In college, he began to develop an interest in acting. While at his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. Though he has been active in both films and television, however it is his roles in the smaller screen which earned him a cult admirers. His ability to play characters in both legal and non-legal settings is what has caught the attention of audiences. The first show he worked on was a television show, but he later played as a detective with the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's been awarded multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes. They are believed as a signature and help in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
