Christopher Peter Meloni has been an acclaimed American actor for many years. He is most popular for the roles he performed in "Law & Order Special Victims Unit". In college, he began to develop an interest in acting. At his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. While he's appeared in both films and television, however it is his roles on the small screen that gave him popularity and much admirers. There is no doubt that the actor has managed to grab people's attention with his characters on both one side of the law. In his very first TV production, he played a serial murderer. Later he portrayed the character of an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's won numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. His most attractive facial feature is thought to be his distinctive blue eyes. They are believed as a signature and helped in portraying tough characters that have charisma. People's magazine's 2006 list of Sexiest Men Alive included him.
