LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball professional who is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. King James, he's widely regarded to be the greatest player of all-time and often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketballer ever. James has the distinction of winning four NBA champions. There are four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. and two Olympic gold medals. James is the NBA All-Star with most points in playoffs, with the second most points in his career total, and seventh-highest career assist total. He was named as an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He was the 3rd player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between 2011 through 2018. James has been selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player to have attained 10,000 points or more, rebounds, and assists in his career in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, located in Akron Ohio. The national media hailed James as an NBA superstar. He was a pro-prep player and was the first selection from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. He was voted the NBA rookie of the year in 2004. Soon he became one of the best players in the NBA as he won the NBA MVP Award both as of 2009 and in 2010. James went free agency in 2010, after he failed to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to quit Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent decisions in the history of sports.
